T.I. has taken a jab at the “cancel culture,” dismissing it as “fake” during an interview with Tamron Hall.
“All this cancel culture, I think it’s fake. Like JAY-Z said, ‘first they hate you, then they love you, then they hate you again,” Tip said.
He continued: “You’ll cancel, just since you used him, you’ll cancel someone like Kanye, now I don’t agree with his views, there are a lot of things he say, a lot of positions and perspectives he speak from that I have no agreeance with, but that’s not going to take away from the fact that he is a phenomenal artist and he makes great music,” T.I. said. “But you will cancel him, but at the same time, when someone like Gucci does Blackface, then you’re cool with that, so you’ll keep wearing Gucci, but you’ll cancel Kanye.”
T.I. is currently doing a press tour, promoting his new podcast as well as his brand new Netflix show.
