Meg Ryan & John Mellencamp Reportedly Call Off Engagement

Actress Meg Ryan, 57, and singer John Mellencamp, 68, have reportedly called it quits for the third time!

A source told Us Weekly, “She’d had enough and ended [their engagement]. She has no regrets.”

Split rumors started swirling after Ryan was spotted without her engagement ring at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 11th Annual Governors Awards in Hollywood earlier this week.

A few months ago, John’s daughter Teddi Mellencamp, of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” explained why she wasn’t part of the wedding planning. She told “Extra’s” Special Correspondent and “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga at our studios in Levi’s Times Square, “They’re not asking me for help. They’re super private, and I have to remember that not everyone is like me where my life is being showcased on television.”

In November, Meg announced her engagement to John, writing on Instagram, “ENGAGED!”

She first sparked engagement rumors the month before when she was spotted with a ring while shopping in NYC.

The pair were first linked in 2011. They split in 2014, but reconciled later that year. After breaking up for the second time in 2015, they got back together two years later.

Before they reconciled in 2017, John told Howard Stern, “I loved Meg Ryan. She hates me to death. I think it’s because I’m a child… She just doesn’t want anything to do with me. And I can’t blame her.”

Meg was previously married to Dennis Quaid for 10 years, but they ended their relationship in 2001. He is now engaged to PhD student Laura Savoie.

John has been married three times, to Priscilla Esterline (1970-1981), Victoria Granucci (1981-1989) and Elaine Irwin (1992-2011).
