Chelsea Clinton Slams Jay Z’s Response to Beyonce’s Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss

Chelsea Clinton “loved” Beyonce’s documentary “Homecoming” overall, however, there was one part of the film she had a small problem with.

In a recent interview with The Cut, the former first daughter, 39, expressed how she wasn’t thrilled with the way Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, appeared to react after the singer showed him her post-pregnancy body.

During the particular moment in the Netflix documentary, which chronicled Beyonce’s iconic Coachella performance, the “Diva” singer enthusiastically Facetimed her husband to show-and-tell her drastic weight loss following the birth of their twins, Sir and Rumi. And according to Clinton, Jay-Z didn’t have the reaction she would have wanted.

“And I said, ‘Marc, if that’s ever me, you better have more enthusiasm,'” Clinton recalled to The Cut. “It wasn’t the ‘I’m so proud of you. That’s amazing’ that I arguably think any woman deserves, particularly someone who has clearly worked herself body, mind, heart, soul, and spirit to get to that place.’ Marc was like, ‘Duly noted.'”

Clinton, who was pregnant with the couple’s third child at the time, said she felt that every woman who watched “Homecoming” thought: “She deserves more enthusiasm.”

“Marc was like, ‘I got it. Can we go back to watching it, please? We’ve talked about it three times in the last 90 seconds,'” she continued.

Although Clinton wasn’t a fan of Jay-Z’s reaction — or lack thereof — the children’s book author said she “loved” the Netflix documentary overall.

Clinton gave birth to her third child with Mezvinsky, a baby boy, in July.

“This morning we welcomed our son, Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky,” she tweeted at the time. “We are overflowing with love and gratitude and can’t wait to introduce him to his big sister and brother.”

Jasper joins son, Aidan, 3, and Charlotte, 4.
