The star was photographed in a green jumpsuit with her blonde hair tucked up inside a white hat, as she stepped out to greet her husband William H. Macy and daughter Sophia at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, near Oakland.
Felicity, who received a 14-day sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal, has six days left behind bars.
Meanwhile, new reports have shed light on what life is like at FCI. RadarOnline.com says the prison has the nickname “Club Fed” and “Chateau Dublin,” and that inmates have private rooms and access to televisions, computers, and gardens.
ABC News says the minimum-security facility allows hobbies like crocheting, scrapbooking and origami. Meals consist of items like Bran Flakes, fish sandwiches, and Salisbury steak.
Huffman was arrested in March, and later pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.
Along with serving time, Huffman has been ordered to pay a $30,000 fine. She is also required to perform community service.
According to court documents obtained by “Extra,” Huffman allegedly gave a “purported charitable contribution of $15,000… to participate in the college entrance exam cheating scheme,” which gave her daughter twice the amount of time to take the SAT, and a secret proctor corrected her answers afterwards. The document added, “Huffman later made arrangements to pursue the scheme a second time, for her younger daughter, before deciding not to do so.”
After her sentencing last month, the actress said in a statement, “I accept the court’s decision today without reservation. I have always been prepared to accept whatever punishment Judge Talwani imposed. I broke the law. I have admitted that and I pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions. Period.”
