Will Christie Brinkley Consider Joining Another Season of ‘DWTS’?

It was an emotional first night as Christie Brinkley returned to the ballroom after exiting “Dancing with the Stars” due to a broken arm!

Christie teared up while watching her daughter Sailor, who took her place in the competition. After the show, “Extra’s” Special Correspondent and former “DWTS” pro Sharna Burgess caught up with the mother/daughter duo and Sailor’s dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Though Christie is out of the competition this season, would she give another season a shot? She answered, “Yes!”

Earlier in the day, “Good Morning America” obtained exclusive footage of Christie getting injured during a dance rehearsal. The accident happened when Christie tripped on Val’s foot and broke her fall with her wrist. In the video, she is seen instantly grabbing for her wrist.

Christie will undergo surgery in the near future.

Christie, whose arm in a cast, choked up, saying, “I’ve been so emotional since the second I picked myself off the ground. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. It started with me feeling like I let everybody down and searching for a silver lining, and when I thought, ‘Wait a minute, maybe Sailor could do this,’ that felt so right to me… At first she couldn’t quite see it… ‘I’m not show bizzy like you, Mom. I can’t do this,’ then she started saying, ‘But I can do this for you and I will try’… I think she is going to discover a real passion in dancing.”

Sailor smiled, commenting, “I feel like I already discovered it.”

“I feel like I did the best that I can do and I had a lot of fun with it, so that made me happy,” Sailor pointed out about her first night.

For her “DWTS” promo shoot, Sailor wore the blue costume originally intended for Christie. It did not need to be altered to fit her! She admitted, “I steal everything from her closet.” Christie added, “It’s okay if she tells me.”

Christie praised her 21-year-old daughter, gushing, “Honey, what you did for that dress, amazing. What you did on your feet, amazing. I’m so proud.”
