‘Project Runway’ Alum Chris March Dead at 56

Chris March, who shot to fame on “Project Runway,” has died, reports TMZ. He was 56.

Sources tell the site that March passed away on Thursday after suffering a heart attack.

Despite ongoing health issues, insiders say doctors and family were shocked by his death.

According to TMZ, Chris suffered a terrible fall at his apartment in June 2017 and hit his head, which caused him to lay there for days before waking up and calling 911.

In March 2018, a GoFundMe page was set up to help raise money for his medical care. The page stated that the reality star was in a medically induced coma for “many weeks” after the accident and that he was still in a “fragile state.”

The GoFundMe page also shared, “His right arm has been paralyzed and at this moment, [he] has limited use of his hands and legs. In addition, he’s dealing with respiratory issues that demand constant care. With skyrocketing medical bills, his health insurance has maxed out and he’s in desperate need of continuous physical therapy in order to get back on track.” The fundraiser collected nearly $60,000 for his care.

March appeared on “Project Runway” Season 4, as well as “Project Runway All Stars.” He even had his own show on Bravo called “Mad Fashion.”

In more recent years, he made cameos on “The Real Housewives of New York” as a friend of Sonja Morgan.

He also designed for big celebs like Meryl Streep, Lady Gaga and Madonna.
