Rumors have been swirling behind the reason for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s split.
One day after Liam filed for divorce, Cyrus is speaking her truth. She tweeted, “I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide.”
She went on, “It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20’s. I have not only smoked, but advocated for weed, I’ve experimented with drugs, my biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom.”
While she admitted that she “f**ked up and cheated in relationships” when she was younger, Miley affirmed that she was “committed” to Liam. She reiterated, “There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.”
“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will,” Cyrus elaborated. “BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking , foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar.”
On Wednesday, Hemsworth filed the divorce papers in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.
Sources told TMZ that Miley and Liam signed a prenup, so their earnings during the marriage will be kept separate.
Another insider shared with People magazine, “She didn’t expect it and is a bit disappointed, but she is still doing well and has obviously moved on as well.”
“What she and Liam had for a long time was very special,” the source added. “It’s just hard for her to think that she will never have this again with Liam. There are really so many things that she loves about him.”
Since there were no children involved and no fight over money, the divorce will most likely be smooth.
Cyrus has moved on from the relationship and has been linked to Kaitlynn Carter. On the same day that Liam filed, they gifted Kaitlynn’s ex Brody Jenner a weed bouquet and a weed gift box for his 36th birthday.
Brody took to Instagram to show off their gift, along with the note, which read, “Brody, Weed like to wish you a Happy Birthday! Love you! Miley + Kailtynn.”

In his Instagram Story video, Brody said, “Miley and Kaitlynn, you really stepped it up with this one. You know my favorite company of all time. We got the birthday card attached to the weed bouquet! Look at this!”

Later that night, Brody stepped out for his birthday dinner with new girlfriend Josie Canseco at TAO Los Angeles. After an intimate dinner with his family and friends, including his mom Linda Thompson, Jenner partied it up at Warwick nightclub with Zedd, Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson Ross.
