Julianne Hough Says She’s Grateful for Support After Revealing She’s Not Straight

Julianne Hough is still making news with her “Women’s Health” interview and revelation she is not straight.

“Extra’s” Terri Seymour was with Hough at “America’s Got Talent,” where Julianne said she feels lucky to have support surrounding her after the article debuted.

“I feel really lucky and a lot of people who don’t have the platform or support that I have aren’t that lucky,” Julianne explained. “I just want to say I’m super grateful for my family, my friends, and the support from all the fans I’ve had. But also to spread that to… the people who don’t have that kind of support. That would be my wish.”

Asked if her mother is proud of her, the dancer said, “She is, she’s amazing.”

Julianne told Terri one of her favorite acts this season is the V.Unbeatable dance crew.

“There is a really big difference and you can feel it. America can feel it, when people come on the show for fame or glory and they do not do that. They come out here feeling completely connected, self-expressed, it’s their passion and you can feel it.”

The act wanted to come on the show to win money for better equipment, after one of their members died six years ago following an accident at rehearsals. “They want to be safe. They actually lost one of their members during a rehearsal.”

“AGT” airs Tuesdays and Wednesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
