This is right around the time of year I start dreaming of plaids, thick wools, and all of the suiting (um, like I can’t wait to wear this). While summer is my preferred season, fall is my favorite season when it comes to getting dressed. Between inventive layering, rich fabrications, and of course all of the beautiful fall hues, it is the season where I find the most fun in fashion. I have always had a soft spot for suiting (already bought this piece and this piece) as it sits at the intersection where classic menswear meets femme, and offers endless styling opportunities. I am loving Suistudio (a new to me brand that I discovered at Nordstrom) specifically for their suiting and separates. Looking more ahead to fall, I’m thinking about how to break up these suiting separates to create more unexpected looks that are surprisingly versatile and wearable – think adding bright colored pieces, mixing patterns, injecting clashing details, and introducing more forward silhouettes.
