Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have gotten pretty serious over the past three years, and it appears they might be taking the next step in their relationship. Following the release of Taylor’s song “Lover,” fans are convinced that she is announcing her engagement. Not only do the lyrics practically read like vows, but the bridge also includes references to something “borrowed” and “blue.”
The singer only furthered engagement rumors during her photoshoot for Vogue‘s September issue. As Taylor dons a blue dress in one of the photos, you can just make out a ring with a string (as in tying the knot) on that finger. Super sneaky, Taylor!
While the couple have been notoriously private about their relationship since they first started dating in late 2016, Taylor has given us glimpses of their love life through her music. So, what could be more perfect than announcing their engagement in a song? Guess we’ll just have to wait until Taylor drops Lover on Aug. 23 to see if wedding bells are in her near future.
