Days after news broke of his split with Miley Cyrus, 26, Liam Hemsworth, 29, is speaking out for the first time!
When photogs asked Hemsworth about the separation in Australia, he told Daily Mail Australia on Monday, “You don’t understand what it’s like. I don’t want to talk about it, mate.”
Hemsworth appeared to be downcast as he stepped out for some yogurt in a caramel hoodie and black pants.

He was joined by older brother Chris, who just celebrated his 36th birthday.
While Liam is in Australia, Miley is enjoying the company of Brody Jenner’s ex, Kaitlynn Carter. Last week, the two were spotted kissing in Lake Como, Italy.
In the photos, Miley and Kaitlynn were seen packing on the PDA as they soaked up the sun in their bikinis at the Il Sereno hotel.
After the photos surfaced, Brody wrote, “watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.”
Miley clapped back at Brody’s response, saying, “go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer.”
Kaitlynn and Brody recently called it quits. It was revealed that they were never legally married, despite a wedding celebration in Indonesia last year.
Before the PDA pics were released, Kaitlynn posted an Instagram pic with Miley on a boat with the caption, “Rock the boat, don’t rock the boat baby ⚓️.”
At the time, Brody wrote in a now-deleted response, “Hot girl summer.”
Soon after the pics were released, Miley’s rep said in a statement, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Rumors started swirling that Miley and Liam called it quits when she posted a pic without her wedding ring.
A source claimed that Miley and Liam “were drifting apart,” telling E News, “They have been trying to make it work for months now but haven’t felt they were connecting on the level they were feeling when they got married last year. It’s been a rough year.”
Miley seemingly addressed the split by referencing her hit song “The Climb.” Along with a vacay pic, she wrote on her Instagram, “Life’s a climb… but the view is great.”

The couple, steadily together since 2015, had wed at an intimate ceremony held at their Franklin, Tennessee, home in December 2018.
Last month, Miley opened up about their marriage, telling Harper’s Bazaar, “I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it.”
In spite of her committed relationship with Hemsworth, Cyrus admitted, “I’m still very sexually attracted to women.”
