Fans Helped Denise Richards Diagnose a Health Issue After Seeing Her on ‘RHOBH’

Denise Richards is feeling better, thanks to her fans!

Viewers watching the “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion noticed Denise’s thyroid looked enlarged and let her know.

Richards shared on Instagram, “A few of you pointed out after the #RHOBH reunion that my thyroid was enlarged. You were right, it was something I ignored until pointed out.”

Now, she’s feeling better after changing up her diet.

The 48-year-old continued, “It’s amazing to me in a short time eliminating gluten from my diet how much my thyroid has changed. I had no idea how much our diet really can affect our body and for me how toxic gluten really is…I thank all of you who sent me messages.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, an enlarged thyroid is known as a goiter. Although harmless, goiters can be indicators of health issues like Graves’ Disease, Hashimoto’s Disease, and thyroid cancer.

Similar to Denise’s story, Tarek El Moussa had a fan help him diagnose what turned out to be thyroid cancer.

In 2013, a nurse was watching “Flip or Flop” and noticed a nodule on Tarek’s neck. She alerted the production company, which prompted El Moussa to go back to the doctor. Eventually his entire thyroid was removed due to the cancer.
