Former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gretchen Rossi is embracing her pregnancy body!
A few days ago, Rossi posted a pic of her growing baby bump while sporting a bikini. She wrote on Instagram, “I am in the home stretch now! I’m rocking my baby bump at 9 months preggo! (almost at 38 weeks! ) 🙌🏻.”
She added, “My body has definitely changed, and I have gained 30 pounds during this pregnancy, but I am owning my curves (and bigger breasts) and having fun just embracing it, cause who knows if I will ever have the opportunity to do this again 🤷🏼♀️.”
Rossi also used the post to promote her new collaboration with Amanda Louise swimwear.
For the shot, Rossi wore a white floral robe by Lady Jetset and heart-shaped sunglasses from Amazon Fashion.
It looks like Gretchen really loves having a baby bump. She recently posted, “I told you guys yesterday that I actually cried on Saturday thinking about not having my baby bump anymore, so I decided I wanted to take a few more pictures with her in my belly to remember this very special moment in time!”
Gretchen is counting down the days until she meets her baby girl, who she is naming Skylar Gray. She recently wrote, “#10 Days till I am induced and or doing a c-section.”
“My belly just finally really popped out this past month and a half, and I have been really enjoying it. I guess I don’t feel like I got enough time to really feel pregnant with a bump and all, and I’m starting to realize how much I am going to miss her kicks and jabs (even the really hard ones up in my ribs) 🤪,” Rossi continued. “Of course I’m so excited to meet her but also feeling emotions of sadness at the same time. Please tell me I’m not alone in this sentiment? 🤷🏼♀️ .”
In May, Gretchen celebrated her baby’s arrival at a pink-themed baby shower with fiancé Slade Smiley. The décor included a pink carpet, pink balloons by the Balloon Box, and gorgeous pink-and-white bouquets and garlands by Glamour Flower Boutique.
The party also featured touches of gold, including a “Skylar Gray” sign on the wall and “Baby Smiley” sign on the floor. A six-tiered white tower cake was adorned with flowers and gold accents as well as an “S” for “Skylar.”
The 40-year-old recently opened up about her struggles to get pregnant, telling Parade, “It’s obviously been a very, very long journey for us. The fact that there’s over 7 million couples suffering in silence from infertility, it breaks your heart when you hear statistics like that. I certainly never thought it would take me four years to get pregnant.”
Rossi got pregnant with the help of in vitro fertilization, but lost 14 embryos in the process. She shared, “It’s an emotional roller coaster because all the meds make you a total wackadoodle! After the process, you really start to see what a toll IVF took on your body. When we lost those embryos, I struggled with going back to IVF. I had gotten cellulite on the back of my arms, on the sides of my rib cage. And what’s hard is when you get pregnant and have a baby, you consider those war wounds — like, those are worth it.”
Gretchen announced she was pregnant with her first child in December. At the time, she posted a pic, writing, “We are beyond ecstatic to finally announce that we are expecting a little bundle of joy!!!!!! ❤️ Our hearts are so full right now!! It was one of the happiest days of my life when we received the incredible news that I was pregnant!!!”
Gretchen and Slade have been together for 10 years.
