“Orange Is the New Black” star Danielle Brooks has a baby on the way!
On Tuesday, Brooks announced the big news on Instagram, writing, “So elated to finally share this news with you all. I’m happily pregnant!”
Along with the post, Brooks posted a pic of herself holding a Clear Blue pregnancy test.
On her Instagram Story, Danielle noted that she is five months pregnant.

After hearing the news, her co-stars Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Jessica Pimentel, and Leanne Taylor sent their congratulations.
Co-Star Jackie Cruz wrote, “Omg girl I got chills!! So happy for you baby girl. 🙌🏽 Congratulations.”
Brooks has not revealed the identity of the baby’s father. A few months ago, the 29-year-old celebrated Valentine’s Day with a mystery man, who she calls “D.” She wrote, “True love is when your partner agrees to wear a hairnet to ride go-carts. ❤️ #valentinesday Love you D.”
She made it Instagram official with “D” in February last year. She gushed, “What I’ve always imagined love to feel like… ♥️.”
It is unknown if they are still together.
In 2017, Brooks opened up about her love life, telling Page Six, “My dating game is slow as of now. I know that I am on TV, and you think that it would be better, but I do not know what I am putting off. I am still single.”
The baby news comes just weeks before the final season of “Orange Is the New Black” premieres on Netflix.
