How To Achieve Bronzy, Sun-Kissed Skin In An Instant

This week, we have Weeting (@weeting.c) and her review of Elizabeth Arden’s bronzers, with a bonus bit of glow for the lips. For Weeting, it’s a constant struggle between indulging in delicious sinful food and trying to fit into her clothes.

Today, I will be reviewing a few makeup products from Elizabeth Arden, specifically a lip gloss, bronzing powder and a bronzing gel. I’ve heard a lot about their skincare but not much about their makeup, so I’m excited to try it out.

First up, the Beautiful Colour Liquid Lip Gloss Finish. It comes with a brush tip at the end that makes application neat and easy. The product isn’t super pigmented, so it takes a few extra swipes to get the desired colour. It’s my first time using a glossy lipstick, so the stickiness will need time to get used to. I particularly love the nude and pinkish colours that are great for everyday use, and they’re long lasting, too.

I was very intrigued by the Dare to Bare Bronzing Gel Pearls as I had never seen or tried a bronzer in a gel form. I tested it out first as a contour, but decided to apply it all over for a more sun-kissed look. The colour isn’t noticeable, but it does give my skin a different type of glow. Plus, it’s moisturising, not greasy and blends well. It’s not an everyday product, but I’ll make full use of it on my next beach vacation!

Last on the list is the FourEver Bronze Bronzing Powder, a palette with four different colours that can be used together or separately. The sheen is very subtle and suitable for day use, but I do prefer a highlighter that’s poppin’. The four-in-one feature is really convenient though, so it has earned a place in my makeup pouch.
