Charlotte Casiraghi, the 32-year-old daughter of Princess Caroline and the late speedboat racer Stefano Casiraghi, and Dimitri Rassam, 37, exchanged vows Saturday in Monaco as part of a royal wedding that had observers remembering the wedding of her grandmother, Princess Grace!
People magazine reports that Casiraghi wore an eye-popper of a necklace that seemed to be the famous Cartier diamond-tiara necklace that Grace received as a gift at her wedding to Prince Rainier in 1956, a wedding that captivated the world.
She wore the family heirloom at her reception, which followed a civil ceremony and a garden party at Villa La Vigie, a royal residence on the Mediterranean.
Along with the nod to Princess Grace — who died in 1982 after suffering a stroke while driving with her daughter, Casiraghi’s aunt, Princess Stéphanie — Casiraghi stunned at the reception in a strapless white gown and wore her hair slicked back, making her the spitting image of Princess Caroline.

For her vows, she donned a gray suit with three bows, designed by Yves St. Laurent, that had royal-watchers recalling Grace’s champagne-and-pink suit worn at her own civil ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Princess Caroline; Prince Albert II and his wife Princess Charlene, as well as their kids Princess Gabriella and Prince Jaques; Casiraghi’s brothers Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi; and her half sister Alexandre de Hanover.
The happy couple will throw an even more festive wedding bash next weekend for friends and family — but where is anybody’s guess!
People reports the couple met via their friendly moms and “reconnected” over Christmas 2016. They were engaged in March 2018.
This is Casiraghi’s first marriage and the second for Rassam, a film producer. Each has a child from a previous relationship and are the parents of 6-month-old son Balthazar.
Casiraghi does not hold the title of “princess,” but is eleventh in line to the Monegasque throne.
