Lady Gaga’s Dresses At Met Gala 2019 — Black Gown Under Pink Coat – Hollywood Life

Lady Gaga was one the Met Gala’s leading ladies on May 6 — she served as co-chair of the annual event this year — so she made sure her TWO outfits were some of the best of the evening.

Lady Gaga did not disappoint at the 2019 Met Gala on May 6, and we’re thrilled that she didn’t because she had a lot of eyes on her, as she was invited to sit on Anna Wintour’s advisory panel alongside Harry Styles, Serena Williams and Alessandro Michele for the 71st iteration of the world’s biggest fashion fundraiser. And this year’s theme, Camp: Notes On Fashion, couldn’t have been more perfect for Gaga, who has spent her entire career reinventing her identity. So before Gaga even walked the carpet, we were expecting something we had never seen before, and that’s exactly what she gave us! Dressed in a massive pink parachute dress designed by Brendan Maxwell, Lady Gaga couldn’t be missed.

Lady Gaga also choreographed her entrance, as men dressed in black danced around her on the stairs with umbrellas in hand. They also held different parts of her parachute dress and lifted it up like it was, well… a parachute. Now, that’s how you make an entrance! But that’s not all — once at the bottom of the stairs, Gaga undid the bow that was in her hair and Brendan undid the bow at the front of her gown to reveal a little black dress underneath. It was ultra glamorous and she looked beautiful!

Lady Gaga always keeps us on our toes when it comes to her fashion choices, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Even before she appeared at the 2019 Oscars, no one had any idea what she’d wear. But she ended up wearing two different black gowns (one Alexander McQueen, one Brandon Maxwell) for the ceremony and after-party, after paying homage to Judy Garland in a blue Cinderella dress just a few prior at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards. Clearly, Lady Gaga can wear just about anything and our jaws hit the floor. And we’re loving her Met Gala look!
