It’s May, aka time to celebrate Levi’s 501® Day, and what would be a better day to celebrate a company that has impacted the fashion industry so profoundly that we all know about it (and probably own a piece too): Levi’s®. I am super stoked to be partnering with them for today’s post and showing you my favorite pair of 501®’s styled in a head-to-toe look from the brand. As a little background, 501® was the first riveted pair of jeans, originally called the XX, made for western pioneer workers in 1873. Over the next half century the jeans got more and more refined and eventually became an iconic style worn by celebrities of not only decades but generations. 146 years later, we still celebrate the jean that started it all with 501® day. The 501® is the ultimate canvas for self-expression. You can customize them, make them personal, and the traditional relaxed silhouette is as relevant as it’s ever been with a movement away from the super-skinny fit that had been so popular over the last few years.

For this outfit, I chose my favorite pair on the website right now, the Made In Japan 501® Original Fit Selvedge Jeans. The mix of washes in the patches, as well as a few specks of paint really make the jeans come to life. I decided to combine them with a jacket from the Levi’s® x Peanuts collection, and rounded the look out with a custom “Be Happy” batwing tee, for good vibes all around. Customization has always been a huge part of the Levi’s® experience, from screenprinting to distressing and tailoring, find a Levi’s® tailor shop near you to make it unique! A pair of classic white kicks and a few accessories as finishing touches and voila — the perfect look for #501Day 😉 find your favorite 501® here!
