“Dance Moms” star Abby Lee Miller is opening up to fans about her health struggles in a new Instagram post.
Miller shared a photo of herself with a shaved head, revealing the scar from her emergency spinal surgery one year ago.
The 52-year-old wrote in the caption, “I underwent emergency surgery for an infection in my spine. This mass/tumor choking my spinal cord turned out to be Burkitt Lymphoma.”
She went on to detail her treatments, from chemo to spinal taps to another surgery. Abby Lee still has another surgery to endure.
“I struggled thru months of physical therapy to learn to sit up again, to crawl and maybe with a miracle someday I’ll walk,” she said.
While she thanked her medical team for continuing to help her heal, Miller blasted the doctors who misdiagnosed her early on, saying, “STOP practicing. Please.”
As her health battle continues, Abby Lee is using a wheelchair and is back at work on “Dance Moms.” The new season kicks off June 4 on Lifetime. Check out the preview!
