(AllHipHop News) There was a lot of competition for rap’s “Album Of The Year” in 2018. Despite debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 and eventually being certified Gold, Rich The Kid’s The World Is Yours was not routinely mentioned in the AOTY conversation.
Rich is certain the sequel to his debut studio LP will be considered the best Hip Hop music product of 2019. The World Is Yours 2 just landed on streaming services today (March 22), but the New York-born rhymer says no other project released this year will be better than his sophomore set.
“I feel like that ’cause the album is an album full of hits. It’s not like I came in there trying to make regular songs. Every song is a hit. Every song is a smash. I don’t think anybody’s done that in the last century,” the Rich Forever Music boss told Billboard. “No cap!”
TWIY2 has an impressive line-up of guest features. Fellow Atlanta-bred artists Offset, Takeoff, Young Thug, and Gunna show up on tracks. Big Sean, Ty Dolla Sign, Tory Lanez, Nav, Lil Pump, Jay Critch, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again also appear on the album.
Rich The Kid is not only confident about the critical response for The World Is Yours 2, but he also expects it to be a huge commercial success as well. He said, “It’s gonna be the top streamed album of the whole year, for sure. I know that off the top of my head. I know we going for the biggest of the biggest. I am the hottest artist in the f*cking world.”
