Lil Skies Releases A Documentary Companion Piece For ‘Shelby’ Album

(AllHipHop News) By collecting 54,000 first-week units, Lil Skies’ Shelby album opened at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Atlantic recording artist from Pennsylvania also released a 4-minute documentary as an accompaniment to the LP.

The Mario Kristian-directed Shelby mini-film features the rapper born Kimetrius Foose talking about creating the body of work. His mother Shelby also makes an appearance in the doc.

“It’s my first real project. It’s like a new beginning. This is really like me being born again,” says Foose about his second studio album. Shelby arrived after 2018’s Life of a Dark Rose.

Skies is set to tour the country with Lil Pump beginning in April. His single “I” just debuted at #39 on the Hot 100 chart, and the 20-year-old neophyte recently walked in Philipp Plein’s New York Fashion Week show.
