(AllHipHop News) Robert Sylvester Kelly could be in even more trouble. According to TMZ, the family of 23-year-old Joycelyn Savage provided federal investigators with evidence that prove the R&B star strong-armed her to lie to law enforcement.
The entertainment news website reports:
Per our sources, they also handed over old emails and texts between them and [Kelly’s ex-assistant Cheryl] Mack, as well as audio recordings of R. Kelly allegedly coercing her into lying about her situation if authorities ever talked to her. We’re told in some of the other audio recordings obtained, you hear R. Kelly discussing how he’d conceal his relationship with Joycelyn … and in another, we’re told you hear R. Kelly demand [Joycelyn] text him a statement that she herself was lying in the event she ever ratted him out.
There is also said to be proof that Mack was involved in facilitating the initial 2015 meeting between Kelly and then-19-year-old Savage. Plus, other documentation allegedly substantiates that people working for Kelly helped him get access to young women.
The Department of Homeland Security is supposedly investigating R. Kelly for possible sex trafficking crimes. If the 52-year-old Grammy winner transported underage girls across state lines, he could be in violation of federal law.
Kelly has already been charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse in Cook County, Illinois. Three of the alleged victims were between the ages of 13 and 16 at the time. The “Ignition (Remix)” singer is also under investigation in Fulton County, Georgia.
Joycelyn Savage, and fellow Kelly live-in girlfriend Azriel Clary, recently sat down with CBS journalist Gayle King. Both women denied they were being held against their will by Kelly, but King revealed Kelly was present during their interview even though he agreed not to be in the room.
R. Kelly has denied all accusations of sexual abuse and the brainwashing of young women. During his own interview segment with King, the Chicago native stood up, yelled, and cried in an attempt to defend himself against the three decades of sexual misconduct allegations.
