Luke Perry’s Death Certificate Released, Plus: New Details About His Wedding Plans

Weeks after his passing, actor Luke Perry’s death certificate has been released.

According to the document, obtained by TMZ, Perry’s cause of death was ischemic cerebrovascular accident, another term for stroke. It also revealed that he was buried in Tennessee.

Perry was in the middle of wedding planning when he died at the age of 52.

Perry and fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer were set to get married in the summer, according to TMZ.

The site obtained the couple’s “save the date” card, which revealed that the two intended to tie the knot on August 17, 2019, in Los Angeles.

It is unknown when Perry popped the question to Bauer.

Bauer recently broke her silence on his death in a statement to People magazine. She said, “I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”

She added, “The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him. I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”

Perry suffered a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks home in late February. A source told People, “He never regained consciousness. Things were so dire that they put him under heavy sedation. He was gone, basically, by the time he got to the hospital.”
